Ethernet & LAN Issues
Version 1.0
Q1. IP is assigned, but internet is still unreachable?
If the device gets an IP address via Ethernet or cellular but still can’t access the internet, the ping target setting might be incorrect.
-
Go to:
Networking > WAN > Multiple WAN > Interface > Action
-
Adjust the Ping Target:
-
For public internet: use
8.8.8.8
-
For private 5G networks: use your local gateway IP
-
Q2. Network unstable when using ethernet network.
Device status keeps toggling between online and offline?
This is often caused by LAN subnet conflicts between OOS and client devices:
-
By default, OOS uses
192.168.0.1/24
for LAN. If connected devices are also using the same subnet, conflicts can occur. -
Change the LAN IP range on either the OOS or the client side to resolve the issue.
Q3.Client device get IP from OOS but can't access OOS.
- This is usually due to incorrect DHCP configuration
- Access OOS through Controller or console to fix the error sett
Q4. Ethernet cable is plugged in, but link light is off or speed drops?
This could be due to hardware compatibility between network ports:
- Try switching to another Ethernet port.
- Or add a simple switch/hub between OOS and the other device to help negotiate the connectio
