A frequent traveler wanted to enjoy games on their home gaming device while staying at hotels or remote locations. However, typical solutions such as VPNs, cloud gaming, or manual port forwarding were either unreliable, complicated to configure, or posed security risks to their home network.
To address this, we deployed OOS on both the user’s travel laptop and their home network. This created a secure, peer-to-peer connection between devices — with no need for public IPs, VPNs, or network exposure. The user can now stream games from their home console with high performance and zero hassle, no matter where they are.
Feature | Before OOS | After OOS |
---|---|---|
Connectivity Setup | VPNs or port forwarding; complex and unstable | Direct, encrypted P2P link via OOS; no VPN or IP configuration needed |
Network Exposure | Home devices exposed to the public internet | All devices remain invisible to the outside world |
Streaming Performance | High latency and unstable connections due to relays | Optimized routing ensures low-latency, smooth gameplay |
User Experience | Frequent setup issues and connection failures | Plug-and-play experience; works across any network |
Stream games from your home gaming device securely without opening any ports
OOS uses encrypted peer-to-peer tunnels and NAT traversal to simplify connectivity
Designed for interactive workloads like gaming, with optimized routing across nodes
OOS ensures your devices are never exposed to public internet — improving both security and privacy
Once installed, OOS reconnects automatically across different networks, without reconfiguration
